Sampson Low, Marston & Co.. 1st. 1952. Nearly fine condition. Five small format paperwrap books contained in shaped pictorial slipcase with opening door at front. Story books are: Noddy and the flying elephant; Big-ears loses some jewels; Noddy and the 3 bears; Noddy's car rides in the air; Noddy and the big balloon. B/w illustrations. This set is ex-shop stock so the books are unread. Covers are superbly clean and bright with just tiny nicks at the spine ends and the staples are rusty. Contents mint. The pictorial slipcase is rubbed at edges but the doors have never been opened. A super set, rare in this condition. [S] Price: £200.00

Macmillan & Co. Ltd.. 1st. 1944. Very good condition in an almost very good dustwrapper. Cream pictorial cloth. The first book in the "Adventure" series. 326 pages. B/w illustrations. Light bumping to top and tail of spine and corners. Name and date in ink to front endpaper. A few small ink splashes to outer page edges, parts of which go a little through onto page margins. Some foxing. Wrapper is a little faded in places, with edge-tears and chips; little loss to a few corners; some grubby marks, small damp mark to rear panel. This is 1st edition wrapper - because the 'd' is slightly shorter than the '6' on the price on front flap. [R] Price: £580.00

Slightly better than very good condition in an almost very good dustwrapper. 12 musical plays for children aged 8 to 15. 24 full-page b/w drawings by Alfred Bestall and music by Alec Rowley. Very large format. Russet cloth, gilt title and decorations to spine. Pictorial endpapers. 240 pages. Boards lovely and bright with a tiny hole to the rear board cloth. Some minor scattered foxing. All plates present. Scarce wrapper is egde-worn and torn and neatly repaired to verso, small chips to top of spine, top rear corner and tiny chip to rear panel. Wrapper also slightly grubby.
