George Newnes Ltd1st ed 1943.Very good condition in a good dustwrapper. Red cloth, gilt title to spine and front cover. B/w text illustrations. 184 pages. The 2nd book of the adventures of Jo, Bessie, Fanny and Dick in the queer lands at the top of the Faraway Tree. Red covers are slightly faded. Corners have minor bumps. Small patch of surface damage to front pastedown and front endpaper. Name in ink to front endpaper. A couple of pages have light margin marks. Pictorial wrapper is NOT price-cut, but is heavily creased with minor chipping and 8mm loss to bottom of spine. Front and rear wrapper folds have large closed tears (approx. 11cm to front and 5cm to rear).
