Foxing to outer page edges, endpapers and prelims; contents generally clean and bright. Pictorial wrapper is edge creased and torn with some loss at base of spine and top of rear panel.

Sunny Stories Library. Red cloth, black titles to front and spine. Delightful b/w text illustrations of the cheeky golliwogs. 152 pages. Spine and corners bumped and slightly rubbed. Some light foxing and fingering to page edges/margins but generally contents clean. Grubby dustwrapper is creased and worn with some slight loss, tape repairs on verso. Front flap was detached but has been taped back together.

Smuggler Ben was really a fisherboy who loved pretending to be a smuggler. Orange cloth, red titles and small vignette to front cover. Tower House Series. Written under the name of Mary Pollock, a pseudonym of Enid Blyton. Top & tail of spine shelf worn with slight fading to base of spine. Blue sticker stuck to front pastedown and inscription in ink to front endpaper. Pictorial dustwrapper is edge-worn with a few small chips, loss to base of spine.

Also includes 'The Faraway Tree'. Spine bumped and slightly browned, pinhole above title. Corners bumped. Foxing, mainly to text block. Contents very good. Dustwrapper is edge worn with loss from top of spine and folds. Slightly grubby, spine a little darkened. Some browning to verso.

Cream boards, black titles. 2 b/w illustrations plus captions per page (numbered 184). 59 pages. Spine and corners bumped and slightly worn. Name and address in ink to front pastedown. Contents generally clean but a few small, light paint(?) spots across pages 94 & 95. Dustwrapper is worn, torn and creased, extensive tape repairs to spine where it looks as though the wrapper may have been in two halves? Some other tape repairs at edges and corners. Small mark to front panel below authors name.

Green cloth, gilt titles. B/w illustrations. Packed full of valuable advice and information written in a simple and fascinating style for children. One of Blyton's more uncommon titles. Spine and corners bumped. Some fading to cover edges. Child's name and address in pencil to both free-endpapers which are also partly browned. Colouring to some of the b/w text illustrations. Dustwrapper is a bit grubby and is in two halves (split at front edge of spine) and has loss to top and tail of spine and to top edge of front panel.

A few light foxspots and a little light fingering otherwise the contents are generally clean. Dustwrapper is edge worn and creased with some tears. Spine is faded and rubbed. Rear panel is grubby. Dark marks to verso of spine.

Corners bumped and very worn. Some rubbing to board edges. Covers scuffed and grubby. Front endpaper removed. 1 colour plate is MISSING. Front joint and several hinges cracked. Erased blue pencil marks to front endpaper and verso of frontis. Colour pencil lines to front and rear joint. Some marks to page margins. Browning to endpapers.

Ink inscription to front endpaper. Many of the black and white illustrations and the map have been coloured in, mostly neatly. Foxing, mainly to endpapers and page edges. A few marks to contnets.
