Almost very good condition in a almost very good dustwrapper. The sixth in the Barney mystery series. What is the mystery that seems to be centred on the old inn where the children are staying? Red boards, black title to spine. Colour frontispiece. Black and white illustrations. 256 pages.

Spine and top rear corner bumped. Covers slightly marked. Light brown stain at top of front endpapers, foxing to prelims. Name and address in ink plus small bookseller's sticker on verso of front endpaper. A few brown marks to edge of textblock not affecting pages. Rear endpaper missing. Contents clean. Price-cut wrapper has wear and tear at edges with slight loss.
